Invest money, invest in relationships
They say money doesn’t buy happiness but we have to be honest that it gives a sense of peace that enables you to focus on the most important things. Without a sound financial standing, you are going to live on emergency mode all the time and if something bad happens, you crumble.
We are social beings; contact with fellow human beings is crucial for our lives. Continuous investment of time cultivating great relationships that inspire, challenge and grow you is paramount. It is the single biggest factor that ensures people move past bad times quicker. You cannot do it alone; you need a good community of people around you.
Get your money right and more importantly, be there for the people in your life.

Misfortune is a reality; it is not something you can wish away. You will lose a loved one, you might get fired from your job or your business may go under. Another reality is that life goes on. The sun will rise and set as usual, your bills will still need to be paid and you will still be required to meet your responsibilities. Being at peace with this fact brings a sense of great freedom and peace of mind.
Once you accept it, you will plan for it so that you are able to get through it when it comes. The two things I believe we should always invest in are money and relationships. These two aspects of life I find are key to making it through tough times.
